Getting to Skyros
Skyros can be accessed by boat (www.sne.gr) from the port of Kimi Evia, by helicopter and by plane from Athens International Airport or Thessaloniki International Airport. The boat ride lasts approximately one and a half hours and during the summer the itinerary is quite frequent. The duration of the flight from either Athens or Thessaloniki is 25 minutes and the local airport is located in the northern part of the island, about 15 kilometers from Skyros Town. Skyros is also connected by boat with Skopelos and Alonissos, its neighboring Sporades islands. Access Ammos Hotel in Skyros
Ammos Hotel is situated on the eastern side of the island, in the location Magazia, merely 10 minutes by car from the port of Linaria. It can be easily accessed by bus –that stops right outside the hotel-, taxi or private/rented vehicle. The owners, as well as the reception staff will be more than happy to assist you with anything you might need; from local information and tips, to car and bike reservations, worth-seeing attractions, and public transportation itineraries and destinations. Parking facilities
The hotel does not have a privately owned parking lot, since it is built in a traditional settlement, where no cars are allowed. However, there is a public parking area at a mere distance of 150 meters from the hotel, with a capacity for 200 cars. Moreover, cars can also be parked on the right side of the main road, near the outdoor stairway that leads to the hotel.
